I bet you thought I was gonna disappear for over a year again. Not yet!

As I said in my previous post, I just started another series from this season with a cute girl solving mysteries. Because that’s why we are all here, right?

In any case, I’ve muxed this myself from ohys-raws (it’s been too long since I did this, I had almost forgotten how it worked). There are two subs tracks. The default one uses honorifics, and the original Japanese names (you’ll see they are quite different from the official ones in English). The other track, obviously, uses the official English ones.

In case anyone is interested in seeing the differences, these are the names of the recurring characters. Left is Japanese, right is English:

  • Katrielle (this is the same in both languages. For the short name, I use Katry vs Kat).
  • Noah Montreaux vs Ernest Greeves
  • Sher vs Sherl (this is simply because Sherl-san felt weird)
  • Geraldine Royer vs Emiliana Perfetti
  • Darjeeling Aspoirot vs Ercule Hastings

The songs subs are timed to the Japanese subs, not to the voice, so it may feel weird sometimes.

As always, feel free to point any mistake or any feedback you have.

My intention is to keep releasing this until the end. That’s 50 episodes, or almost a year. Let’s see if I can keep it up.

Milky Holmes Strikes Back

Has there ever been a better tittle for a comeback like this? I don’t think so.

So, yeah, I’m not dead. I’ve simply been busy with a few jobs, moving from here to there, and whatnot (and let’s admit it, I’ve been procrastinating a lot too). But everything seems to be settled now, so it should be safe to get back to work on things.

This is the famous Milky Movie. It’s timed to my own rip of the BD, but it should work with the raws at nyaa without a problem. The movie is quite fun, and a love letter to the fans of the first two seasons (even if it doesn’t reach it’s levels), so it’s worth a watch… and if you like it, you know, you could buy it to show you care, and convince them that we want more things like this.

Plans? Well, picking up everything I left incomplete, of course. You should see some updates in the next few weeks. There’s also a few things I want to pick up, but let’s finish what we have, and then move forward.

Edit: Oh, yeah, I totally forgot. Some translation notes.

七転八倒 (Shichitenbattou): This phrase could be translated as “fall seven times, and then an eighth one”. I decided to translate it for “Rise to fall ” to keep the reason why Sheryl mixes this one with the next one.

七転び八起き (Nanakorobiyaoki): This phrase literally means “Fall seven times, stand up eight”. As you can see it shares 3 of the 4 kanji that make it up with the previous one, and that’s why Sheryl keeps confusing them, even though they sound nothing alike.

草津よいとこ 一度はおいで (The song at the beginning): The translation of the lyrics are more or less literal, so there’s not much to explain here. Only that this is a folk song from the area of Kusatsu, well known for its hot springs. You can see a performance here, although it looks (and sounds) nothing like what we have in the movie.

I think that covers it. There are a few other things, but they should be mostly self-explanatory in the subs. If I remember something else, I’ll add it here.

Himouto Umaru-chan’S – Adverstiment

Look at me being a faggot and releasing something planned for Saturday 6 days late!

Ok, after this brief rant, allow me to start again. Today, I bring you something new, and probably unexpected too. I’m talking about Himouto! Umaru-chan’S, a spin off of Himouto! Umaru-chan, a manga about a girl leading a double life. The perfect girl outside, a slacking spoiled kid at home. This spin off is quite simple, each chapter being 6 pages long, and is currently being released on Tonari no Young Jump (a small, web released magazine related to the Weekly Young Jump) and Nicoseiga (Niconico’s manga platform). Currently, there’s 10 chapters out in addition to this prologue of sorts I’m releasing today (that, by the way, is only 4 pages long).

So, what’s the deal with me making the release on Saturday? Well, not only it’s been done for at least two weeks, but I was planning on stepping up the pace and start making a release per week of this manga until I caught up… on Saturdays. So, if you go and read the manga you’ll see that, at the end, there’s a “Next scheduled release” date. Well, those are supposed to be my dates. The dates when I’ll be uploading the next chapters. So, chapter one HAS to come out tomorrow. And I HAVE TO keep up the pace no matter what, because I already made the dates’ pages and I’m too lazy to change them. So, yeah, see you tomorrow with Chapter 1: Net call.

Things keep coming!

Falling to your own trapsNo, I haven’t forgotten about “The dream Madotsuki saw”. It’s just that, like me, someone has been out of the loop for quite a while, and until a few days ago, there wasn’t any new page to translate. Just a few days ago, Rizu released five pages, and said that, with this, the first half of the story is done (which is surprising, since I would bet we’re closer to the end, but it looks like he has some ideas left). According to him, he plans on making at least two releases each month this year. Let’s see if he’s able to keep up with that, and if I’m able to follow him with this, and my other projects.

And now, something… unexpected, to say the least. In my last post, after talking about Leviathan, I mentioned that I had to check the new Milky Holmes… Somehow, no one was subbing it, though. After some anon took the spanish subs and retranslated them, and another one timed them, I decided to take them again and fix them to the best of my abilities, retranslating the wrong or inaccurate lines, adding the missing ones, doing the OP and ED (in a really liberal way)… and I thought about making the two insert songs too, but it would take too long. So after a rough upload yesterday at 3 AM, I ran a spellcheck today and fixed a few things, and reuploaded it. So in case anyone is interested:

It says [Leopard-Raws], but I tried Ohys (better video quality, but unfinished opening), and the timing works almost flawlessly (or at least, as flawlessly as in Leopard’s). Matching the offset to any other raws shouldn’t be that hard either.

This doesn’t mean I’ll do them week after week or anything. It’s just that I was kinda pissed off that no one bothered to do a proper work with this, and decided to get into it myself on a whim… that doesn’t mean I won’t do any more either though…

A new year has come to us, unexpectedly.

Naho and Sayaka

So, with 2U out of the way, I’ve been thinking if that would be enough for someone to take on Blood Drive. I mean, people can play the first two games, then read the 2U, and then wait for xSEED’s release of BD (if it happens). So, would they feel like they are missing anything besides the extra chapter in 2U? Unfortunately, yes, they would. Why? Because there’s a light novel called Cemetery0 written by Kedouin that tells us about Naho and the people surrounding her. Not only about Sayaka, Aiko and Inumaru (that appear in 2U), but also about Magari (a key character in BD). So, when you see all these characters do things around in BD, you feel like you’re missing something, and that they are more than flavor characters meant to make the world richer: that they have their own story.

So, while I own this light novel, as you know, I haven’t worked on the Yume Nikki LN for a long time, so I won’t do anything as crazy as to start another translation before finishing that one. But that doesn’t mean I can’t translate the first two chapters of the manga (a sample in the publisher’s web page)… or that’s what I wanted to do, but I kinda failed (like I always do) with my self imposed deadline, and could only finish the first chapter for today (I’ll release the second in the next few days, hopefully). Usually I wouldn’t pick up a manga like this due to the low density of pantyshots and fanservice in the manga, but after reading the page 19, who could resist? No, seriously, whoever wrote that must have been high at that moment to think that could pass as a cute, friendly moment. Because remember, no matter how much power you put into your yuri goggles, Sayaka and Naho are only friends, and you’ll never be able to see anything else in their interactions.

I don’t know if I’ll continue (are there even raws available? I sure haven’t found any working link), or if I’ll translate the novel (even if they are listed in the future projects section, don’t trust it), but hopefully, you’ll get a glimpse of what the Naho’s world looks like, and that, together with the few chapters of the games that expand on it, you’ll get to understand her and her friends better (just so you know, she’s not just a heartless bitch that didn’t care about fooling everyone into being trapped into Heavenly Host).

In other news, huesubs have finished timing and releasing the Leviathan Shorts! Yayifications!!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the ride as much as we did. I’ll certainly miss the really smart dragons, but hopefully, the game is doing fine, and we’ll get to see more of them soon… which reminds me that the preair of the new Milky Holmes has already aired… I should check it out later.

It seems like I missed it yesterday, but the guy timing the episodes for Zettai Bouei Leviathan mini released the 5th episode. And once again I haven’t finished translating the rest. At this pace, he’s gonna catch up to me.

Zettai Bouei Leviathan mini: Bonfire Theater!

So, this is not something I’ve worked on recently, but the other people involved did, so I’m making a post about it too.

The Zettai Bouei Leviathan mini: Bonfire Theater! episodes are shorts that were released during the second broadcast of the anime, and that add information to what happened during the episode… and obviously add some more humor to it. So far, the editor and the timer have finished the first four episodes (out of 13, although I’ve only translated 7 so far). So, if you want to watch them, simply download the raws and the subs, and rename the subs or the episodes so they share the same filename (for example, “episode 1.ass” and “episode 1.mp4”). If you are using MPC or VLC, opening the episode will load automatically the subs too.

Perfectly Flat Bahamut-chan (H)

And… finally, this is the last thing I worked on lately. Unlike the other ones, this is a real, full fledged, hentai doujin by Kyouichirou, from the circle Studio Tar, so, you know, if you’re under 18, you shouldn’t try to see it… As it’s obvious, the main character of this doujin is Bahamut. Also, the title is actually a really free translation. The original title is Zeppeki no Bahamut-chan. Zeppeki means cliff, so I made a wild guess and translated it as if they were referring to how “vertical” Bahamut is.

It also happens to be the only Zettai Bouei Leviathan hentai doujin scanned to date, so, after some anon insisted on it, I had no choice but to translate and edit it. I’m kinda proud of how some things came out… except for page 14… that was mess. I forgot to clean some SFX (fixed in mediafire), and erased half of the toripu… but I was really tired at that time, so I’ll forgive myself.

Like the two previous ones, it’s uploaded to exHentai, so, google how to get inside if you have any problem.

The dream Madotsuki saw

If it was connected by a door...

As I just said, I worked on three new things. The second one is this other doujin by Rizu. This one is about Madotsuki in Ib’s world. It’s still incomplete, and Rizu publishes a few pages each month. I’ll be updating the file in mediafire and the gallery in exHentai every time he publishes something.

As the previous one, it’s uploaded to exHentai instead of Batoto, so be sure you know how to enter before trying, or you’ll end with a sad panda.

Sensei and I

So, yeah, I havent worked on any of my old projects… but I have on some other things (3, to be more precise). The first one is a short and old Yume Nikki doujin by Yatsuki that chipp12 requested in his comment. It’s only 6 pages long, but it’s nice and quite well done.

Unlike other releases, I won’t be uploading this to batoto, but to exHentai (don’t worry, it’s non-H). If you have problems reading it online (you see a sad panda and nothing happens), I recommend that you either use your google skills or that you simply download it. Explaining how to enter exHentai would be too long, and there are plenty of guides out there.
