FAQ

  • What is this?
    • This is a page for those who want to know when I release the different translations I’m working on but are afraid of missing the threads I make, and also don’t want to check mediafire or Batoto every now and then.
  • What are you translating?
    • You can check the different projects I’m working on at the moment in the Projects page.
  • Do you accept requests?
    • No. I accept suggestions. If you have any, leave a comment in the Projects page and I’ll consider it. If you’re willing to work on it as a typesetter, cleaner, or anything that isn’t a proofreader (everyone is willing to be a proofreader, sorry), then it’s more likely that I’ll feel like it, but, obviously, no guarantees.
  • I’m willing to do X, but I don’t know how. Would you teach me or tell me where I could learn?
    • There are thousands of guides and tutorials around the net. Search in google, ask around, and be sure you can do it before telling me you can, since I’ll probably give you a test before blindly accepting you. You can use this guide, although, obviously, it not the only one out there.
  • You’re the translator, right? So, translator, typesetter, cleaner, proofreader… What else could I do to help and make my “suggestion” more appealing?
    • Well, you could buy me something cool like a Madotsuki figure or nendo, pay me 1000$ dollars per chapter or something like that…
Now seriously, one of the main problems I have is that I can’t scan anything, and even if I could, I wouldn’t buy things you want translated to rip them apart and scan them. So, if you are willing to do it, you have the raws or you have a working link to them, that would surely help your suggestion.
  • I see that you’re translating some light novel. Would you also consider it if I suggested one?
    • Yes, but it’s less likely that I’ll work on it. Also, a proofreader/editor for that would be greatly appreciated, but you would need to be really serious about it. If I take the job and you don’t edit a chapter, I won’t release the next one and everyone will hate you (and me). So, please, be serious about it. Obviously, I wouldn’t take any suggestion from you seriously anymore.
  • When will you release the next chapter of X?
    • I don’t know. It depends mainly on how much text/pages the chapter has, and how hard each page is to clean. Also, have in mind that for most projects, I’m working completely alone (I like to end by myself the projects that I start by myself, so no applications), so it may take a while. If you feel like I’m taking forever, leave me a comment, since pressure may work on me, but please, make sure that there are more chapters released than translated in the page for the project.
  • You made this mistake here.
    • I check everything before uploading, but obviously, I’m human, and I make mistakes. Leave a comment in the page for the project or the post for the specific chapter release specifying the chapter, the page and the mistake so I can fix it asap.
  • I don’t like how you do X.
    • What I want to do with these translations is make these works more available to everyone, so, in the end, you could say I’m doing it for all of you. Therefore, if you have anything to complain about, just do it, please, and I’ll take it into consideration. After all, if you don’t say anything, I probably won’t change the way I do things.
  • Sometimes, when clicking a “Read Online” link, I end up looking at a sad panda pic and nothing happens. What do I do?
    • I’ll explain this very quickly. If you don’t understand something, try google, it’s your friend: Delete all your cookies. Go here. Make an account. Log in. Try the link again. If something goes wrong, try it again. If it’s still the sad panda image, you’ll need to try google and some more extensive guide.
  • Would you mind if I uploaded X to Y online manga reader site?
    • As a general rule, no, I don’t mind. However, have in mind that the only place I’ll be putting links to in this page is batoto and exHentai.
  • Can I use your translation of X to retranslate it to Y language?

    • Although I’m against translations of translations, you’re free to do it. You don’t even need to credit me (although it would be nice if you did, and it would be nice to your users if you warned them that you’re translating from an English translation). Anyway, as long as you do it the best you can, you’re free to do whatever you want with these translations… except, obviously, claim they are yours. That would be of poor taste.
  • This FAQ is garbage! I wanted to ask about X!
    • Please, ask your questions in the comments section below. Obviously, related to the translations and projects. Don’t start asking about whats my favorite apple (you may laugh, but it happened once). I’ll try to answer everything, and if I find it relevant enough or is asked frequently, I’ll add it to the FAQ.

So, I saw your post on foolz about the timing, I got the first 3 that I’ll mess with tomorrow (Been busy till Chinese new year and never saw an email from ya so sorry for the delays) Assuming you don’t want other means of contact, I’ll msg you here tomorrow.

Never done any motion tracking on typesetting, so thats a bit slow (all other bubbles are typeset, not the greatest but first for everything right?) so tomorrow ep 1 should be done, rest will go faster after that.

      • That’s great. I’m working on the next episodes right now. Here you have the 4th: http://pastebin.com/H2s8GH8Y
Also, don’t worry too much. I only included the bubles and so since it was easy enough for me, but if you think it’s gonna be a headache for you or anything, it’s not like it’s gonna make the shorts more or less understandable. We’re doing what we can. Nothing less, but nothing more either. Although I guess practicing is good, and these would be good for that, but whatever. Don’t force yourself to do something you usually wouldn’t.
And, of course, thank you for your work, anon.

        And… episode 5: http://pastebin.com/Kyitk1XT

And I just realized I’m gonna need a dictionary for all the food-related terms in the Episode 6. Great. Well, I guess it’s gonna take a while.

        Episode 6: http://pastebin.com/AVZMqcds
I may have made something up in there. More precisely at the end of Mu-chan’s description. If you can make someone check it, that would be great.

        And 7, lyrics included: http://pastebin.com/Dpp4Hzg7
Now I’m gonna rest for a while.

Well, I can’t really afford the mocha stuff for motion tracking, and I still suck at typesetting but I think it came out OK. Timed against this: http://www.nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=480940

(I know they are small but my uploads have been failing for awhile now and I figured you can just dl it to see how it is.

Anyway, let me know what you think of ep 1, I’ll probably make an /a/ thread for each one I finish if you think its any good

    • Saw it a few times and, and the only mistake I noticed is at 2:38, where you wrote “Can high can you get?” instead of “How high…”. Other than that, it looks pretty good to me. Feel free to make a thread about it whenever you want.

Well… I just realized that episodes 4 and 5 also have insert songs. And so do 12 and 13. Silly me, how could I miss those? Well, I guess I should include them too.

Ok, added. I should start with episode 8 now…

i’m sorry for the inconvenience, but I want to ask for the RAW files of the .Flow doujinshi, I know that you don’t like the translations from other translations; however I would like to use them as part of a personal work. I promise to publish translations with corresponding credit, and don’t worry because i don’t want to upload anything on the web.

P.S. i’m sorry for the bad english, i just made a fast translation with google translator 😛
