About this week’s Milky Holmes

According to the official site of Milky Holmes TD, this week they won’t air “Carol’s Ransom” due to the current circumstances (probably related to ISIS and the kidnapping of Japanese workers, and the ransom they asked for to release them). Instead, they will be reairing the first episode. There’s no information about when (or even if) the episode will air. The other series that delayed their episodes like Assassination Classroom will air the episodes some time later, though, so this is what will probably happen here too… hopefully.

I will update this post with any new info we get on this.

Edit: The schedule for the online broadcast of episode 5 hasn’t changed, according to the official site. It will be released at Niconico Live Broadcast at 23:00 on the 4th, at Niconico Channel at 23:30 on the same day, and at Bandai Channel at 12:00 on the 5th. Details for the broadcast everywhere else are still not decided.

Tantei Opera Milky Holmes TD 04 – Let’s aim to be one-hit wonders

Nero Another week, another delay. But still releasing before the next episode airs! I guess that’s still good enough.

Again, this week, I used leopard’s raws. Also, lae did a re-mux (or whatever you want to call it) with some proper typesetting and fixes from last week’s episode. It fixed the mess I did with last week’s vector drawings, so if you care about those things, be sure to check it out here. Personally, I can’t wait to check out how he did it in order to learn something, but unfortunately, I haven’t had much time yet. And, for better or worse, there’s no more news this week. Hope you enjoy the episode.

Tantei Opera Milky Holmes TD 03 – The country of curry is too far away

A catUgh… what a week. Sorry for the delay. I should have finished this by Tuesday morning (I had a test on Monday), but I lost my internet connection for two days, and I didn’t have the raw properly downloaded. Hopefully, this won’t happen again.

About this weeks subtitles, there are a few changes, and a few… messy things. First of all, I changed the subtitle’s font following Borat’s advice (I’m not a fan of yellow subs though). Second, I changed the filenames, for sorting reasons. And the messy things… well, you’ll notice when you’re watching (hell if I know how to make a gradient in aegis). Hopefully it doesn’t bother you too much, and someone can fix the mess.

Oh, forgot to mention. I used LeopardRaws for this one.

Edit: I knew I was forgetting something. Back in Christmas, I said I would check if they released an extra chapter of 2U in the official web, where I’ve been getting the raws. But, while they announced and released the second volume, there’s nothing new in there (quite the opposite, since all the chapters from vol.2 are not available anymore). So, unless I come across some scanlations of the tank, I’m afraid that’s it.

Tantei Opera Milky Holmes TD 02 – Perfect Fool

Cordelia So, again, I’ve done the subs for Milky Holmes. It’s been ages since I timed something with aegis (last week I timed the OP and the ED directly in the script), and it made me remember how bad and slow I’m at it, and how little I like to do it. But anyway, sometimes, sacrifices must be made. This time, the raw is timed to zero-raws, but again, it shouldn’t be a problem to correct the offset to any others. Probably works flawlessly with Leopard and Ohys. Also, I’m sorry, but although I’ve received two complaints about the font last time, I didn’t have much time to think about it, and I’m still using Segoe. I promise to think about something else next time.

Oh, and don’t worry. I’m already working on something else.Expect some news soon™.

Corpse Party Cemetery0 – Chapter 2

So, I decided to go back to write what you’ll fin in each new post in the posts’ tittles, since otherwise it would start getting confusing, and the holidays are over.

This second chapter is what I promised back in new year. I don’t plan on continuing this manga at the moment (although I already have a plan to get the raws in case I decide to come back to it later). AllButteredUpScans is interested in the project though. They are missing raws for chapters 3 and 4, so if anyone has them, be sure to contact them at the Corpse Party Forum.

Things keep coming!

Falling to your own trapsNo, I haven’t forgotten about “The dream Madotsuki saw”. It’s just that, like me, someone has been out of the loop for quite a while, and until a few days ago, there wasn’t any new page to translate. Just a few days ago, Rizu released five pages, and said that, with this, the first half of the story is done (which is surprising, since I would bet we’re closer to the end, but it looks like he has some ideas left). According to him, he plans on making at least two releases each month this year. Let’s see if he’s able to keep up with that, and if I’m able to follow him with this, and my other projects.

And now, something… unexpected, to say the least. In my last post, after talking about Leviathan, I mentioned that I had to check the new Milky Holmes… Somehow, no one was subbing it, though. After some anon took the spanish subs and retranslated them, and another one timed them, I decided to take them again and fix them to the best of my abilities, retranslating the wrong or inaccurate lines, adding the missing ones, doing the OP and ED (in a really liberal way)… and I thought about making the two insert songs too, but it would take too long. So after a rough upload yesterday at 3 AM, I ran a spellcheck today and fixed a few things, and reuploaded it. So in case anyone is interested:

It says [Leopard-Raws], but I tried Ohys (better video quality, but unfinished opening), and the timing works almost flawlessly (or at least, as flawlessly as in Leopard’s). Matching the offset to any other raws shouldn’t be that hard either.

This doesn’t mean I’ll do them week after week or anything. It’s just that I was kinda pissed off that no one bothered to do a proper work with this, and decided to get into it myself on a whim… that doesn’t mean I won’t do any more either though…
